Gregorio Medardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severo Ubarna, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. 8 minutes into the match, Punco!!'s goal looked a bit too open when Severo Ubarna came free, but Gregorio Medardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Justino Martinez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jimeno Ferrer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teofilo Estavan having to interfere. Justino Martinez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Gimnasia y Tiro booed when Punco!! was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo Kaxen didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Punco!!'s Filomeno Abeita got a free kick in the 25th minute. With his leg Teofilo Estavan managed to avoid a goal in the 27thth minute, when Punco!!'s Justino Martinez fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Justino Martinez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Teofilo Estavan made a huge save. Bernardo Kaxen kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Punco!!'s Gregorio Medardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leandro Hever in the 32nd minute of play. In the 33rdth minute of the game Leandro Hever who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Punco!!'s Gregorio Medardo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Gimnasia y Tiro booed when Punco!! was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eulalio Tino didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Leandro Hever put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Gregorio Medardo. After having played for 46 minutes, Severo Ubarna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gimnasia y Tiro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Severo Ubarna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Punco!! players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Gimnasia y Tiro were winning 0-2.
The wind increased when Jimeno Ferrer made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Punco!!'s goalkeeper Gregorio Medardo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Gimnasia y Tiro booed when Punco!! was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo Kaxen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Justino Martinez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Leandro Hever's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gregorio Medardo was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. Gregorio Medardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severo Ubarna in the 73rd minute of play. In the 80th minute, Filomeno Abeita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Severo Ubarna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Gregorio Medardo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Punco!!'s goalkeeper Gregorio Medardo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 92 minutes in the game, Severo Ubarna fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Gregorio Medardo having to interfere. Gimnasia y Tiro's Fausto Rosalio got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gimnasia y Tiro played a much better game than Punco!! and deserved their victory. The Punco!! players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
