Spectators: 7321 (Terracing: 5492, Seating: 1684, VIP seats: 145) Gimnasia y Tiro's Leandro Hever started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gimnasia y Tiro's Severo Ubarna got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severo Ubarna in the 5th minute of play forced PFC's goalkeeper Edelmiro Palos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Severo Ubarna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Edelmiro Palos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 8th minute, Severo Ubarna left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gimnasia y Tiro fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. PFC's Edelmiro Palos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leandro Hever in the 12th minute of play. After having played for 13 minutes, Severo Ubarna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gimnasia y Tiro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Severo Ubarna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leandro Hever in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edelmiro Palos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 23 minutes, Leandro Hever made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. PFC's Edelmiro Palos tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Edelmiro Palos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leandro Hever, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leandro Hever in the 27th minute of play forced PFC's goalkeeper Edelmiro Palos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leandro Hever in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edelmiro Palos saved PFC from getting behind. When Fausto Rosalio came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Gimnasia y Tiro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fausto Rosalio couldn't finish the play. If Leandro Hever had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edelmiro Palos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severo Ubarna in the 37th minute of play. Severo Ubarna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The PFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Gimnasia y Tiro were winning 0-2.

Eduardo Gutxi kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. The long shot by Braulio Firman in the 60th minute really tested Edelmiro Palos's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Antonio Barrionuevo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Teofilo Estavan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leandro Hever sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Leandro Hever could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Edelmiro Palos made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Leandro Hever's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edelmiro Palos was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. When Fabian Jaunti fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored PFC's protests and gave Fabian Jaunti a yellow card for diving instead. Fabian Jaunti hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Edelmiro Palos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severo Ubarna in the 94th minute of the match. Gimnasia y Tiro played a much better game than PFC and deserved their victory. The PFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
