Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) When Diego Aznaro came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Pla fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diego Aznaro couldn't finish the play. In the 18th minute, Arnaldo Inautzi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ramiro Florian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Marcial Jatsu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th minute Ramiro Florian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcial Jatsu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th minute Diego Aznaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcial Jatsu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pla 's Carlos Gitano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Menendo in the 29th minute of play. The Candelaria fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcial Jatsu should have stopped the shot. In the 40th match minute, Candelaria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osvaldo Godoy to maneuver through the defense. Carlos Gitano made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Osvaldo Godoy sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Menendo in the 43rd minute of play forced Pla 's goalkeeper Carlos Gitano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Alberto Menendo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Candelaria's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Menendo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Gitano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ramiro Florian made a kick off. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Pla 's Ramiro Florian in the 54th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Marcial Jatsu was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Candelaria through an amazing save. After 56 played minutes Pla got a freekick which was hit by Diego Aznaro. Albano Otsoa, 62 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After some careless play in the Pla defense, Edgard Guzman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carlos Gitano. The Pla fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carlos Gitano should have stopped the shot. If Osvaldo Godoy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Diego Aznaro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcial Jatsu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. The Pla supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Pla would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
