Spectators: 7316 (Terracing: 5488, Seating: 1683, VIP seats: 145) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Raimundo Eusko took the kick off in the first half of the match. Octavio Maiorga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osvaldo Godoy in the 5th minute of the match. In the 8th minute, Osvaldo Godoy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Osvaldo Godoy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alberto Menendo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavio Maiorga having to interfere. If Alberto Menendo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Osvaldo Godoy came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Candelaria fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Osvaldo Godoy couldn't finish the play. After 19 played minutes Deportivo Cristal got a freekick which was hit by Venancio Erroman. A collision led to Candelaria getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Herminio Alonso hit a great ball. With his leg Marcial Jatsu managed to avoid a goal in the 28thth minute, when Deportivo Cristal's Maximo Ihintza fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Marcial Jatsu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raimundo Eusko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 36th match minute, Deportivo Cristal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sixto Feliu to maneuver through the defense. Maximo Ihintza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Alberto Menendo made the kick off in the second half. In the 59th minute Alberto Menendo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavio Maiorga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th minute, Inocencio Faro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alberto Menendo in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Octavio Maiorga prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Herminio Alonso was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 68 minutes had been played. In the 69th match minute, Candelaria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herminio Alonso to maneuver through the defense. When Alberto Menendo fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Candelaria's protests and gave Alberto Menendo a yellow card for diving instead. After 75 played minutes Candelaria got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Menendo. Marcial Jatsu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximo Ihintza in the 79th minute of play. Osvaldo Godoys short, quick shot in the 84thth minute got Octavio Maiorga to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 85th minute, Benjamin Demesio made a precise shot to the right of Octavio Maiorga. Deportivo Cristal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Edgard Guzman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edgard Guzman in the 94thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Octavio Maiorga, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With his leg Octavio Maiorga managed to avoid a goal in the 96thth minute, when Candelaria's Osvaldo Godoy fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The Deportivo Cristal fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Candelaria were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
