Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Severino Cefero in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Octavio Maiorga prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After the first half Deportivo Cristal were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Severino Cefero made a kick off. After 51 played minutes Deportivo Cristal got a freekick which was hit by Venancio Erroman. Baldomero Jerico took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 52nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Octavio Maiorga. Deportivo Cristal's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to Deportivo Cristal getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Maximo Ihintza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 77 minutes, Severino Cefero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. pity79's supporters crossed their fingers, but Severino Cefero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 80 minutes into the match, pity79's goalkeeper Carolo Beliran had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maximo Ihintza. In the 82nd minute, Filiberto Silviano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leo Odon, 83 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Maximo Ihintza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Carolo Beliran made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Esteban Cordarius during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 96th minute Celso Padro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavio Maiorga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Deportivo Cristal supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Deportivo Cristal would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
