In the 15th minute, Romeo Eyague got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Mariano F.C.'s Damaso Bernard got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 18th minute, Albano Txordon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 20 minutes into the match, Mariano F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Albano Txordon came free, but Ruperto Koldobika reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 40 minutes, Florencio Ihazintu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Atl. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When Filomeno Bartolome fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Atl. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Mariano F.C. eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
