Hipolito Nikola started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Olivia's Andres Ignado got a free kick in the 5th minute. In the 6th minute of the match Tadeo George sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Casimiro Fanuco skillfully saved the ball. Gaudencio Feo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnaldo Calvino in the 12th minute of play. Santos Perfecto's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Casimiro Fanuco firmly grabbed it by the left post. If Arnaldo Calvino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabricio Clis hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Olivia's Casimiro Fanuco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Olivia from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnaldo Calvino in the 43rd minute of play forced Ostende's goalkeeper Gaudencio Feo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th minute Arnaldo Calvino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaudencio Feo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The wind increased when Tito Cuebas made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arnaldo Calvino got free with Gaudencio Feo in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 58th minute Hipolito Nikola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaudencio Feo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th minute, Tito Cuebas made a precise shot to the right of Casimiro Fanuco. Olivia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 63rd match minute, Ostende was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabricio Clis to maneuver through the defense. In the 66th minute Hipolito Nikola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaudencio Feo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnaldo Calvino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Gaudencio Feo made a huge save. If Tito Cuebas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ostende's Tito Cuebas got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 80 played minutes Ostende got a freekick which was hit by Bernardino Abalos. Hipolito Nikola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 86 played minutes Olivia got a freekick which was hit by Maximiliano Loiola. In the 88th minute Santos Perfecto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casimiro Fanuco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 90 minutes, Arnaldo Calvino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Olivia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arnaldo Calvino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 92 played minutes Olivia got a freekick which was hit by Angelino Salvatore. Casimiro Fanuco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tito Cuebas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Olivia defense, Tito Cuebas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Casimiro Fanuco. The Olivia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Casimiro Fanuco should have stopped the shot. Olivia's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
