Erubiel Chano took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 17th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gaudencio Feo. Ostende's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Bonifacio Basualdo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santos Perfecto, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Pedro Indar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bernardino Abalos kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Encón's Candido Eutropio got a free kick in the 30th minute. Pedro Indar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Bonifacio Basualdo made a huge save. If Santos Perfecto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 37 minutes into the game, Casimiro Tirso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Encón's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ostende the free kick. A collision led to Encón getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Casimiro Tirso hit a great ball. Tadeo George was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 38th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The supporters of Ostende booed when Encón was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Casimiro Tirso didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 41st minute of the match Tadeo George shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bonifacio Basualdo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Bonifacio Basualdo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santos Perfecto in the 43rd minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

In the 65th minute, Pedro Indar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Santos Perfecto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bonifacio Basualdo having to interfere. In the 77th minute, Bernardino Abalos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ostende's Pedro Indar got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 87th minute Santos Perfecto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bonifacio Basualdo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Candido Eutropio fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. In the 89th minute Pedro Indar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bonifacio Basualdo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 91 minutes into the match, Encón's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Indar came free, but Bonifacio Basualdo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gaudencio Feo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clodoveo Asur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Despite being the better team, Ostende failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
