La Chilinga FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benito Galoer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, La Chilinga FC's Teo Maiorga got a free kick in the 15th minute. A collision led to NY Red Bulls getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Augusto Osmundo hit a great ball. Victorio Veronica recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Moises Haimar during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 23 played minutes NY Red Bulls got a freekick which was hit by Moises Haimar. Augusto Osmundo hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Nunez Quintyn who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 46thth minute tested the skills of Cleto Jerrald when he managed to save the team from getting behind.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Julio Transito stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Evelio Bastia received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tomas Iratzeder came out and tried to block the shot, but Evelio Bastia slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 51st minute. NY Red Bulls's Tomas Iratzeder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benito Galoer in the 57th minute of play. Tomas Iratzeder was a little too slow when Benito Galoer got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 60th minute. The score was now 0-2. After 63 played minutes NY Red Bulls got a freekick which was hit by Nunez Quintyn. Tomas Iratzeder didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 65th minute, which inside left pole to 0-3.
