With a left leg Tomas Iratzeder saved NY Red Bulls from getting behind. Tomas Iratzeder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Genaro Goizeder, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Tomas Iratzeder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humberto Jeraldo in the 9th minute of play. In the 13thth minute of the game Genaro Goizeder who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but NY Red Bulls's Tomas Iratzeder was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Julio Transito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anacleto Laurin having to interfere. The NY Red Bulls players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cabildo were winning 0-2.

Genaro Goizeder could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Tomas Iratzeder made a huge save. Tomas Iratzeder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Humberto Jeraldo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 55th minute, Genaro Goizeder hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Cabildo's zone, Nunez Quintyn stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anacleto Laurin came out of the goal and Nunez Quintyn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Benito Ponc's late challenge caught a NY Red Bulls's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benito Ponc helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Cabildo getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Benito Ponc hit a great ball. Anacleto Laurin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Julio Transito's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. After 61 played minutes Cabildo got a freekick which was hit by Siro Quilino. Nunez Quintyn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anacleto Laurin having to interfere. Tomas Iratzeder made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Genaro Goizeder sent off a good shot on target. In the 68th minute Humberto Jeraldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomas Iratzeder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomas Iratzeder made an important save on a dangerous shot by Genaro Goizeder in the 70th minute. The audience was convinced that Humberto Jeraldo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tomas Iratzeder was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benito Ponc in the 79th minute of play forced NY Red Bulls's goalkeeper Tomas Iratzeder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 80 minutes into the game, Genaro Goizeder recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tomas Iratzeder. Genaro Goizeder showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. With a little luck, NY Red Bulls's Tomas Iratzeder got control of the ball when Genaro Goizeder tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Cabildo booed when NY Red Bulls was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moises Haimar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Genaro Goizeder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Tomas Iratzeder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Genaro Goizeder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Cabildo eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
