But to his dismay, Fidel Calvet quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Lorenzo Abaunza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lorenzo Abaunza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cosme Lope having to interfere. Lorenzo Abaunza struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Cosme Lope didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sol de America. If Felipe Bide had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 18th match minute, Sol de America was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lisandro Mitxel to maneuver through the defense. Hilario Dalmu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cosme Lope read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. If Fidel Calvet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cosme Lope showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hilario Dalmu, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. 35 minutes into the match, Sol de America's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Marcones came free, but Armando Fe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lorenzo Abaunza blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cosme Lope having to make a save. After having played for 44 minutes, Felipe Bide managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vizcachani AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felipe Bide was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Fidel Calvet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Felipe Bide was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fidel Calvet in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Armando Fe saved Sol de America from getting behind. Fidel Calvet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Armando Fe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Armando Fe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipe Bide, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 63 minutes into the match, Vizcachani AFC's goalkeeper Cosme Lope had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hilario Dalmu. In the 81st minute there was a penalty for Vizcachani AFC. Godfredo Eduino stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Armando Fe. 3-1. Fidel Calvet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Felipe Bide came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Vizcachani AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felipe Bide couldn't finish the play. In the 92nd minute, Lisandro Mitxel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cosme Lope was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Hilario Dalmu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 96thth minute, Cosme Lope skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Armando Fe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fidel Calvet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vizcachani AFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
