After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Ambrosio Fonso managed to get in a good position for a shot. All Donkeys F. C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Ambrosio Fonso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfonso Ayala breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ezequiel Feliz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfonso Ayala having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ambrosio Fonso in the 53rd minute of play forced Bufones & Saltimbanquis's goalkeeper Alfonso Ayala to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When David Larpe fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bufones & Saltimbanquis's protests and gave David Larpe a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Bufones & Saltimbanquis getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Alfonso Ayala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ambrosio Fonso in the 79th minute of play. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bufones & Saltimbanquis's goalkeeper Alfonso Ayala, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bufones & Saltimbanquis's Alfonso Ayala played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ambrosio Fonso in the 87th minute of play. When Artemio Atauri came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Bufones & Saltimbanquis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Artemio Atauri couldn't finish the play. All Donkeys F. C. played a much better game than Bufones & Saltimbanquis and deserved their victory. The Bufones & Saltimbanquis players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
