Higinio Pietro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogelio Bakar having to interfere. After 6 minutes, Octavio Tadzio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alumni Futbol Club and the Rulo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Higinio Pietro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Alumni Futbol Club getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Salvador Lucian hit a great ball. Higinio Pietro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogelio Bakar having to interfere. Blas Cordarryl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Octavio Tadzio in the 18th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Higinio Pietro got free with Rogelio Bakar in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Paulino Michael had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the match, Alumni Futbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Evelio Tanio came free, but Rogelio Bakar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Maximo Bazkoare fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rulo FC's protests and gave Maximo Bazkoare a yellow card for diving instead. After 28 played minutes Rulo FC got a freekick which was hit by Maximo Bazkoare. In the 32nd minute, Silvio Isaio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Alumni Futbol Club's zone, Higinio Pietro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rogelio Bakar came out of the goal and Higinio Pietro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Evelio Tanio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rulo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Evelio Tanio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rogelio Bakar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Evelio Tanio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rogelio Bakar having to make a save. Rulo FC's Evelio Tanio got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Higinio Pietro to strike the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Alumni Futbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Cipriano Mel. Evelio Tanio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Blas Cordarryl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Salvador Lucian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Salvador Lucian came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Alumni Futbol Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Salvador Lucian couldn't finish the play. Higinio Pietro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Evelio Tanio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th minute Evelio Tanio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogelio Bakar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 66th minute Rulo FC were awarded a corner. Evelio Tanio went to the cornerflag to take it. Silvio Isaio made a great header on Rulo FC's corner, it was just that Alumni Futbol Club's Rogelio Bakar managed to reach the ball for a save. If Maximo Bazkoare had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rogelio Bakar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evelio Tanio in the 90th minute of the match. When Higinio Pietro came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Rulo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Higinio Pietro couldn't finish the play. Rulo FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
