Silvio Isaio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastian Rivero having to interfere. In the 18th minute, Amado Lluques hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sebastian Rivero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulino Michael in the 20th minute of play. After 21 played minutes Cerrito got a freekick which was hit by Teodoro Munio. 25 minutes into the match, Higinio Pietro notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Cerrito's Sebastian Rivero. Sebastian Rivero was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Silvio Isaio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adrian Petrigai could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Blas Cordarryl made a huge save. Damaso Sasoin's late challenge caught a Rulo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Damaso Sasoin helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Cerrito's Damaso Sasoin got a free kick in the 41st minute. In the 43rd minute of the match, Silvio Isaio sent away a good long shot that could have become a goal, but Sebastian Rivero showed an example of his skillful tending and made the save just under the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
