Alejo Hibai helped the player get up and apologised. In the 27th minute, Marcelo Sidro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Raimundo Kismi fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El decano's protests and gave Raimundo Kismi a yellow card for diving instead. After 30 played minutes El decano got a freekick which was hit by Raimundo Kismi. Abel Bilbo kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Jose Ticho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alejo Hibai's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Baldomiro Iraido ran back to his position shaking his head. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hermengildo Beremundo made a kick off. After 53 played minutes El decano got a freekick which was hit by Ovidio Perrando. Alejo Hibai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Jose Ticho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 64th minute Hermengildo Beremundo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jose Ticho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 67 minutes into the match, Israel Paz notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of El decano's Alejandro Sustrai. Alejandro Sustrai was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
