Ovidio Jerico fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jose Ticho having to interfere. Fornes FC's Jose Ticho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nereo Eneko in the 20th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ovidio Jerico in the 22nd minute of play forced Fornes FC's goalkeeper Jose Ticho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Baldomiro Iraido fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angel Jerano having to interfere. If Marcelo Sidro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 26 minutes into the match, La Quintana's goal looked a bit too open when Baldomiro Iraido came free, but Angel Jerano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ovidio Jerico might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jose Ticho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ovidio Jerico ran back to his position shaking his head.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ovidio Jerico stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 60th minute Baldomiro Iraido shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angel Jerano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 64 minutes into the game, Eliseo Pacorro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Jose Ticho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
