Virgilio Austin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baldomiro Iraido, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 8th match minute, Fornes FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nemesio Guifre to maneuver through the defense. In the 9th minute of the match Damaso Cordareo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jose Ticho skillfully saved the ball. Rigoberto Arce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jose Ticho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amador Pello in the 13th minute of play. Arturo Markel charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arturo Markel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Arturo Markel kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Marcelo Sidro struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Virgilio Austin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fornes FC. Arturo Markel hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Santos Acevedo, 18 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Marcelo Sidro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Chobi F.C getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Cayetano Quintun hit a great ball. 27 minutes into the game, one of Chobi F.C:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. If Amador Pello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fornes FC's Jose Ticho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rigoberto Arce in the 41st minute of play. Baldomiro Iraido's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Virgilio Austin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Chobi F.C's goalkeeper Virgilio Austin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Amador Pello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Baldomiro Iraido to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Cayetano Quintun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jose Ticho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jose Ticho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Amador Pello's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. With a little luck, Fornes FC's Jose Ticho got control of the ball when Rigoberto Arce tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jose Ticho was a little too slow when Amador Pello got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 59th minute. The score was now 1-1. Rigoberto Arce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jose Ticho having to interfere. Virgilio Austin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baldomiro Iraido in the 71st minute of play. In the 73rd minute, Fornes FC's Abel Bilbo seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Abel Bilbo the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Fornes FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Abel Bilbo had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 72 minutes into the game, one of Fornes FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Uriel Basajaun's late challenge caught a Fornes FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Uriel Basajaun helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Chobi F.C's Uriel Basajaun got a free kick in the 75th minute. When Marcelo Sidro came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Fornes FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcelo Sidro couldn't finish the play. Marcelo Sidro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Virgilio Austin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Fornes FC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Placido Argider hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice moves Rigoberto Arce could shoot a difficult shot in the 89th minute, which Jose Ticho however easily saved by the left post. In the 91st minute Marcelo Sidro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgilio Austin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Despite being the better team, Chobi F.C failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
