After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Eliseo Pacorro managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Quintana's supporters rose to their feet, but Eliseo Pacorro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Santiago Fidensio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Feliciano Soter charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Feliciano Soter the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Feliciano Soter kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 27 minutes, Santiago Fidensio successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Eliseo Pacorro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santiago Fidensio having to interfere. Santiago Fidensio came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by La Quintana's Eliseo Pacorro. But to his dismay, Eliseo Pacorro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 40th minute, Eliseo Pacorro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Lagunillas's zone, Ovidio Jerico stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santiago Fidensio came out of the goal and Ovidio Jerico tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Angel Jerano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bonifacio Oto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Santiago Fidensio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Pacorro in the 54th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ovidio Jerico in the 64th minute of play forced Lagunillas's goalkeeper Santiago Fidensio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. La Quintana's Ovidio Jerico got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Teofilo Corderall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angel Jerano having to interfere. If Teofilo Corderall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
