An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrique Erlantz in the 25th minute of play forced Invernadas's goalkeeper Aristides Joachim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Rodolfo Checa fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Goyena's protests and gave Rodolfo Checa a yellow card for diving instead. After 26 played minutes Goyena got a freekick which was hit by Rodolfo Checa. In the 28th minute, Jeremias Aurre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Artemio Jeraldo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ciro Suarez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. Invernadas's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Javier Cordarrol in the 31st minute. After taking down the ball on Invernadas's corner Godfredo Montel fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ciro Suarez quite easily take care of the ball. Artemio Jeraldo struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Ciro Suarez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Invernadas. Javier Cordarrol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciro Suarez having to interfere. Aristides Joachim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rigoberto Valerio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Invernadas's Aristides Joachim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeremias Aurre in the 40th minute of play. Enrique Erlantz scored 1-2 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aristides Joachim, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Invernadas's Aristides Joachim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Desiderio Handi in the 44th minute of play. In the 47th minute Goyena were awarded a corner. Rodolfo Checa went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 48th minute Rigoberto Valerio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aristides Joachim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Ciro Suarez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Javier Cordarrol, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Silvio Otsando scored 2-2 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ciro Suarez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Goyena's zone, Javier Cordarrol stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ciro Suarez came out of the goal and Javier Cordarrol tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raul Uhin in the 61st minute of play forced Goyena's goalkeeper Ciro Suarez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Javier Cordarrol might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ciro Suarez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Javier Cordarrol ran back to his position shaking his head. After 68 played minutes, Invernadas's Jimeno Fidele shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ciro Suarez came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Invernadas reached it. After a rather tough play, Goyena's Armando Chap got a free kick in the 70th minute. Aristides Joachim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeremias Aurre, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 76th minute, Goyena's Enrique Erlantz ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Aristides Joachim. Aristides Joachim yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. If Javier Cordarrol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Iker Socorro in the 81st managed to get into a good position. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iker Socorro couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Goyena getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Desiderio Handi hit a great ball.
