Fernando Martinez was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Rodolfo Checa. Fernando Martinez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeremias Aurre in the 19th minute of the match. In the 27th minute, Rigoberto Valerio reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Fernando Martinez. The goal made the score 1-0. Jeremias Aurre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Fernando Martinez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benito Raulo in the 47th minute of play forced Goyena's goalkeeper Ciro Suarez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jeremias Aurre to make the kick off. Benito Raulo might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ciro Suarez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benito Raulo ran back to his position shaking his head. 62 minutes into the game, Desiderio Handi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Goyena's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cabred F.C the free kick. After 63 played minutes Goyena got a freekick which was hit by Desiderio Handi. Ciro Suarez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rosendo Cebo in the 65th minute of play. 68 minutes into the game, Rigoberto Valerio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Fernando Martinez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Benito Raulo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute.
