In the 10th minute Reynaldo Truylos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabricio Bermudo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomas Claude recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Severino Baudelio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Claude in the 16th minute of play. Severino Baudelio made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Anselmo Ricart sent off a good shot on target. When Tomas Claude came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Cosacos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Claude couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Tomas Claude's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Severino Baudelio was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Angelino Mon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Deportivo Azul getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Reynaldo Truylos hit a great ball. After having played for 37 minutes, Anselmo Ricart managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cosacos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anselmo Ricart was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 42nd minute Tomas Claude shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severino Baudelio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonathan Jaume in the 45th minute of play forced Cosacos FC's goalkeeper Fabricio Bermudo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Jaume sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After 51 played minutes Deportivo Azul got a freekick which was hit by Celso Mikeldi. Reynaldo Truylos's late challenge caught a Cosacos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Reynaldo Truylos helped the player get up and apologised. Severino Baudelio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelino Mon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th minute, Reynaldo Truylos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 66 minutes into the game, Angelino Mon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cosacos FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deportivo Azul the free kick. Deportivo Azul were awarded a corner in the 71th minute after Cosacos FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luciano Ignatius took the corner. The corner led Deportivo Azul's Luciano Ignatius to fire away a dangerous shot which Fabricio Bermudo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Camilo Fidencio hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. After 80 played minutes, Cosacos FC's Paolo Urbez shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Severino Baudelio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cosacos FC reached it. Jonathan Jaume might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fabricio Bermudo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jonathan Jaume ran back to his position shaking his head. Celso Mikeldi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Fabricio Bermudo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Anselmo Ricart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Cosacos FC booed when Deportivo Azul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Jaume didn't get a good kick on the ball.
