When the match clock showed 6 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Joel Nafarroa sped through Los Bagres's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Leonardo Prestes. Alvaro Inge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Santiago Hodei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 15th play minutes Carolo Cebo shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Santiago Hodei and just under the crossbar into goal. Felix Mero charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Felix Mero the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After recieving a nice pass, Los Bagres's Sixto Gelmiro tried to score from far away in the 35th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Alvaro Inge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santiago Hodei having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carolo Cebo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
