Spectators: 6528 (Terracing: 5428, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 100) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Damaso Orland kicked off to start the match. Jeronimo Ezkerra was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Dante Musko. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Arenales AFC's goalkeeper Santiago Hodei, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Arenales AFC's Joel Nafarroa got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Primitivo Dubardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damaso Orland in the 25th minute of play forced Arenales AFC's goalkeeper Santiago Hodei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the match, CA Vélez Sársfield's Teofilo Geleberto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Santiago Hodei narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jairo Santos charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jairo Santos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 28 played minutes Arenales AFC got a freekick which was hit by Jairo Santos. With a little luck, CA Vélez Sársfield's Jeronimo Ezkerra got control of the ball when Primitivo Dubardo tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to CA Vélez Sársfield getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Carlos Nafarroa hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Primitivo Dubardo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arenales AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Primitivo Dubardo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jeronimo Ezkerra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Joel Nafarroa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Damaso Orland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Damaso Orland's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Santiago Hodei was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Joel Nafarroa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeronimo Ezkerra having to interfere. When Joel Nafarroa came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Arenales AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Nafarroa couldn't finish the play. Carlos Nafarroa kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute, Damaso Orland got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 77 minutes into the game, Joel Nafarroa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Jeronimo Ezkerra was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 82nd minute, Joel Nafarroa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 89 played minutes CA Vélez Sársfield got a freekick which was hit by Niceto Bonifaco. Teofilo Geleberto who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 97thth minute tested the skills of Santiago Hodei when he managed to save the team from getting behind. For all the effort they put into the match, the CA Vélez Sársfield players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Arenales AFC.
