Spectators: 7293 (Terracing: 5472, Seating: 1677, VIP seats: 144) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Joel Benitez got the match started through his kick off. In the 6th minute, Leopoldo Loco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jacinto Mundo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Benitez, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. 15 minutes into the game, Armando Lope was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Santurce's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Haikyuu the free kick. The supporters of Haikyuu booed when Santurce was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armando Lope didn't get a good kick on the ball. Florentino Federigo struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Eleuterio Libertad didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Haikyuu. Leandro Vasco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eleuterio Libertad having to interfere. Florentino Federigo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 36 minutes into the match, Santurce's goal looked a bit too open when Florentino Federigo came free, but Eleuterio Libertad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eleuterio Libertad came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Haikyuu's Florentino Federigo. But to his dismay, Florentino Federigo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Leandro Vasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 46 played minutes Santurce got a freekick which was hit by Armando Lope.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Florentino Federigo to make the kick off. After 52 minutes, Alfonso Primo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Haikyuu and the Santurce players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Joel Benitez came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Santurce fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Benitez couldn't finish the play. Abelardo Edorta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Jacinto Mundo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 61 minutes had been played when some careless play by Santurce's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Adolfo Tavio was slow to take the kick. During this time Haikyuu's players had a chance to rest. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Florentino Federigo advanced and headed the ball into goal, 0-2 in the 62nd minute. Jacinto Mundo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Benitez in the 65th minute of the match. Haikyuu's Jacinto Mundo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Benitez in the 71st minute of play. Florentino Federigo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A very good chance. 83 minutes into the match, Florentino Federigo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Eleuterio Libertad, 0-3. In the 86th minute, Santurce's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Leandro Vasco fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 88th minute Leandro Vasco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eleuterio Libertad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 89 minutes into the match, Santurce's goal looked a bit too open when Florentino Federigo came free, but Eleuterio Libertad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eleuterio Libertad made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Alfonso Primo sent off a good shot on target. Haikyuu's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
