After a defensive mix-up in Don Torcuato FC's zone, Ciriaco Cordareo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bruno Amaya came out of the goal and Ciriaco Cordareo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Don Torcuato FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Severino Chorche was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sebastian Oriol breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bruno Amaya came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by COLON DE SANTA FE's Ciriaco Cordareo. But to his dismay, Ciriaco Cordareo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After 90 minutes, Evaristo Ofelio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Don Torcuato FC and the COLON DE SANTA FE players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 90th match minute, Don Torcuato FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evaristo Ofelio to maneuver through the defense. Don Torcuato FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. The Don Torcuato FC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing COLON DE SANTA FE to win.
