Spectators: 7248 (Terracing: 5437, Seating: 1667, VIP seats: 144) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Wilfredo Izel got the match started through his kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joel Benitez in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aristides Pelayo saved La Banda del Sur from getting behind. Abelardo Edorta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aristides Pelayo came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Santurce's Abelardo Edorta. But to his dismay, Abelardo Edorta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Aristides Pelayo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Benitez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aristides Pelayo was a little too slow when Bruno Kaxen got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 19th minute. The score was now 2-0. If Anselmo Veronica had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. La Banda del Sur's Aristides Pelayo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save La Banda del Sur from getting a goal against them. Abelardo Edorta scored 3-0 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aristides Pelayo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Aristides Pelayo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abelardo Edorta in the 46th minute.

In the 53rd match minute, Santurce was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno Kaxen to maneuver through the defense. Anselmo Veronica fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eleuterio Libertad having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abelardo Edorta in the 63rd minute of play forced La Banda del Sur's goalkeeper Aristides Pelayo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 65 played minutes Santurce got a freekick which was hit by Cristo Tino. Abelardo Edorta might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aristides Pelayo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abelardo Edorta ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 76th minute, Joel Benitez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aristides Pelayo was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. 80 minutes into the match, La Banda del Sur's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Benitez came free, but Aristides Pelayo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 92nd minute of the match, Wilfredo Izel tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Eleuterio Libertad saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Santurce fans cheered their team off the field, for while La Banda del Sur had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
