The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rdth minute of the game Christian Nuxila who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MA HALCON ATLETICO's Javier Herrera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 9 minutes, Atilano Ibar successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When Cristian Guib fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MA HALCON ATLETICO's protests and gave Cristian Guib a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Sunampa booed when MA HALCON ATLETICO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Guib didn't get a good kick on the ball. The corner led Sunampa's Patricio Indalecio to fire away a dangerous shot which Javier Herrera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Baldomiro Remir fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atilano Ibar having to interfere. Felix Lopes struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Atilano Ibar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MA HALCON ATLETICO. After having played for 23 minutes, Christian Nuxila managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sunampa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christian Nuxila was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 24 played minutes MA HALCON ATLETICO got a freekick which was hit by Benicio Gorbea. If Alejo Timo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28th minute Alejo Timo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Javier Herrera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alejo Timo in the 30th minute of play forced MA HALCON ATLETICO's goalkeeper Javier Herrera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felix Lopes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Atilano Ibar came out and tried to block the shot, but Felix Lopes slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 36th minute. Gregorio Fliz kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Christian Nuxila was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 56th minute. Sunampa's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The MA HALCON ATLETICO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Javier Herrera should have stopped the shot. Christian Nuxila fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Javier Herrera having to interfere. 76 minutes into the game, MA HALCON ATLETICO's Felix Lopes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Atilano Ibar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Lopes in the 81st minute of play forced Sunampa's goalkeeper Atilano Ibar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Atilano Ibar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Lopes in the 84th minute of the match. In the 95th minute, Felix Lopes made a precise shot to the right of Atilano Ibar. Sunampa's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1.
