Matias Ortzi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Sebastian Oriol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Ciriaco Cordareo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Augusto Loiola was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. Marcelo Bertran's late challenge caught a COLON DE SANTA FE's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edelmiro Etxepare sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Augusto Loiola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciriaco Cordareo in the 22nd minute of play. After 22 played minutes FC Hormiguitas got a freekick which was hit by Marcelo Bertran. When FC Hormiguitas's Matias Ortzi in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye COLON DE SANTA FE's goalie prevented a goal. If Matias Ortzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 33rd minute Dante Mitxaut shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Augusto Loiola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maximino Hitzeder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastian Oriol having to interfere. 38 minutes in the game, Matias Ortzi dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. In the 39th minute, Filomeno Gaufred hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 41 minutes into the match, FC Hormiguitas's goal looked a bit too open when Dante Mitxaut came free, but Augusto Loiola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Hormiguitas's Augusto Loiola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eleuterio Weterio in the 44th minute of play. Eulalio Mitxaut charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eulalio Mitxaut the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 46th match minute, COLON DE SANTA FE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eulalio Mitxaut to maneuver through the defense. FC Hormiguitas's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Maximino Hitzeder in the 49th minute. A nice corner shot did that Maximino Hitzeder got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Sebastian Oriol quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Dante Mitxaut made the kick off in the second half. FC Hormiguitas's attentive Edelmiro Etxepare managed to snatch the ball when Eulalio Mitxaut made a throw-in in the 54th minute of the game. With a little luck, FC Hormiguitas's Augusto Loiola got control of the ball when Ciriaco Cordareo tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ciriaco Cordareo got free with Augusto Loiola in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Augusto Loiola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dante Mitxaut in the 66th minute of the match. If Ciriaco Cordareo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, COLON DE SANTA FE's Eliseo Norino got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Dante Mitxaut struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Augusto Loiola didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for COLON DE SANTA FE. Dante Mitxaut might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Augusto Loiola. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dante Mitxaut ran back to his position shaking his head. Eleuterio Weterio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Augusto Loiola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The COLON DE SANTA FE players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented FC Hormiguitas from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
