When the match clock showed 44 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Florentino Federigo sped through FC Hormiguitas's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Augusto Loiola. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Florentino Federigo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, FC Hormiguitas's goal looked a bit too open when Florentino Federigo came free, but Augusto Loiola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, FC Hormiguitas's Marcelo Bertran got a free kick in the 53rd minute. When Matias Ortzi fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Augusto Loiola was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Alfonso Primo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. Augusto Loiola came out of the goal and Leopoldo Loco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leopoldo Loco scored 7-0 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Augusto Loiola, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Haikyuu walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
