The audience thought a goal was coming when Gabriel Gaxan got free with Hugo Ospetsu in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 16th minute, Rene Tajo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Gabriel Gaxan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Horacio Flor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Ospetsu having to interfere. Constantino Markel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leo Frechoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd minute, Leo Frechoso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 34th match minute, Barrow was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Faustino Ixidor to maneuver through the defense. In the 36th minute, Rene Tajo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hugo Ospetsu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horacio Flor in the 41st minute of the match. If Horacio Flor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Horacio Flor made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Horacio Flor in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hugo Ospetsu saved Tafí from getting behind. A collision led to Barrow getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Pascual Santiago hit a great ball. 58 minutes into the match, Barrow's goalkeeper Constantino Markel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leo Frechoso. Constantino Markel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leo Frechoso in the 60th minute. Leo Frechoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Constantino Markel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Barrow's Constantino Markel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Barrow from getting a goal against them. When Horacio Flor came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Barrow fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Horacio Flor couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horacio Flor in the 70th minute of play forced Tafí's goalkeeper Hugo Ospetsu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gabriel Gaxan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Hugo Ospetsu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Faustino Ixidor kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. The supporters of Tafí booed when Barrow was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position.
