Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Carlos Erroman got the match started through his kick off. 4 minutes into the game, Candelaria FC's Osvaldo Vasco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paolo Montay made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Osvaldo Vasco might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Paolo Montay. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Osvaldo Vasco ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Osvaldo Vasco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Candelaria FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Osvaldo Vasco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paolo Montay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 11th minute, Carlos Erroman fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 12th minute Carlos Erroman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paolo Montay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Osvaldo Vasco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paolo Montay having to interfere. Venancio Ihazintu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raul Quinteros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Celso Bakar hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Paolo Montay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Erroman in the 35th minute of play. Osvaldo Vasco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paolo Montay having to interfere. Carlos Erroman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nereo Urdin kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Venancio Ihazintu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raul Quinteros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

53 minutes into the match, Candelaria FC's Honorio Lorenz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paolo Montay narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Candelaria FC's Carlos Erroman got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 62nd minute, Raul Quinteros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Paolo Montay came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Candelaria FC's Osvaldo Vasco. But to his dismay, Osvaldo Vasco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moises Cucao in the 71st minute of play forced Candelaria FC's goalkeeper Venancio Ihazintu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 84th minute, Carlos Erroman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 87 minutes into the match, Candelaria FC's goal looked a bit too open when Moises Cucao came free, but Venancio Ihazintu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Omar Charro hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match.
