Ariel Peru might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Venancio Ihazintu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ariel Peru ran back to his position shaking his head. Osvaldo Vasco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fabian Telesforo having to make a save. An unexpected shot in the 29th minute by Carlos Erroman got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Pupus FC's Fabian Telesforo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Erroman in the 31st minute of play. Fabian Telesforo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Erroman in the 32nd minute of the match. Osvaldo Vasco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabian Telesforo having to interfere. Ariel Peru's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Venancio Ihazintu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Carlos Erroman was extremely unlucky when he, in the 38th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Martin Mambru during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Pupus FC's Martin Mambru got a free kick in the 39th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Omar Charro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Candelaria FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Omar Charro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlos Erroman in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabian Telesforo saved Pupus FC from getting behind. In the 50th minute, Saturnino Baladi sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Candelaria FC's Venancio Ihazintu didn't even have to move. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carlos Erroman was the one to do the kick off. Ariel Peru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Venancio Ihazintu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlos Erroman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabian Telesforo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. After 61 minutes, Omar Charro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Candelaria FC and the Pupus FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 61 played minutes Candelaria FC got a freekick which was hit by Omar Charro. After 64 minutes, Carlos Erroman made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Pupus FC's Fabian Telesforo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ariel Peru during the 70th minute. Fabian Telesforo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osvaldo Vasco in the 99th minute of the match. Candelaria FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
