The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cesar Guifre during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 16 played minutes Colonia Urquiza got a freekick which was hit by Cesar Guifre. In the 24th minute, Cesar Guifre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 33 minutes, Bernardino Pasqual mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zonda and the Colonia Urquiza players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Colonia Urquiza booed when Zonda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardino Pasqual didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nereo Lapurdi, 34 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. With a left leg Andres Toro saved Colonia Urquiza from getting behind. In the 45th minute Gregorio Dalmai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andres Toro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gregorio Dalmai recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gregorio Dalmai stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gregorio Dalmai struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Andres Toro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gregorio Dalmai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 66 minutes, Severo Guerau mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zonda and the Colonia Urquiza players grew even worse after the yellow card. Severo Guerau kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. A collision led to Zonda getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Bernardino Pasqual hit a great ball. In the 72ndth minute of the game Gregorio Dalmai who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Colonia Urquiza's Andres Toro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gregorio Dalmai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andres Toro having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregorio Dalmai in the 75th minute of play forced Colonia Urquiza's goalkeeper Andres Toro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
