The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Tomás Venerando's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hector Nalo was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Adan Iratxo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hector Nalo. That made the score 1-0 in the 30 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Vicente Ferdinand managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atletico River Plate's supporters rose to their feet, but Vicente Ferdinand was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arturo Cebo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 39th minute, Tomás Venerando fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. If Adan Iratxo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th match minute, Club Atletico River Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicasio Chuan to maneuver through the defense. Tomás Venerando sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Adan Iigo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atletico River Plate's supporters rose to their feet, but Adan Iigo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The referee ignored Nogal FC's protests and gave Victorino Joseph a yellow card for diving instead. Victorino Joseph hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 55th minute Vicente Ferdinand shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arturo Cebo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nicasio Chuan during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nicasio Chuan kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Hector Nalo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomás Venerando in the 62nd minute of the match. After 68 played minutes, Club Atletico River Plate's Norberto Gonsalve shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Arturo Cebo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Club Atletico River Plate reached it. In the 71st minute, Tomás Venerando ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hector Nalo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Arturo Cebo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vicente Ferdinand, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adan Iratxo in the 78th minute of play forced Club Atletico River Plate's goalkeeper Hector Nalo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adan Iratxo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Genaro Petri's late challenge caught a Nogal FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Genaro Petri helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Club Atletico River Plate getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Genaro Petri hit a great ball. Adan Iratxo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Hector Nalo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anacleto Diagur's late challenge caught a Nogal FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anacleto Diagur helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Club Atletico River Plate's Anacleto Diagur got a free kick in the 87th minute. In the 90th minute, Adan Iratxo made a precise shot to the right of Hector Nalo. Club Atletico River Plate's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. In the 95th play minute Severiano Dorio came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Arturo Cebo. 3-2. For all the effort they put into the match, the Club Atletico River Plate players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Nogal FC.
