In the 19th minute Elias Iruinea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serafino Salvadore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Laureano Faron blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Serafino Salvadore having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnoldo Ezkerra in the 37th minute of play forced CyB Ramón Santamarina's goalkeeper Florentino Hechter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of ATLAS SALUD FC booed when CyB Ramón Santamarina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marciano Oso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jimeno Sustrai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florentino Hechter having to interfere. If Arnoldo Ezkerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Antonio Kismi was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Horacio Lertxun during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, CyB Ramón Santamarina's Horacio Lertxun got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Antonio Kismi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. ATLAS SALUD FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antonio Kismi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Antonio Kismi might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Florentino Hechter. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Antonio Kismi ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to CyB Ramón Santamarina getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Jesus Blai hit a great ball. A hard shot 97 in the game by Antonio Kismi from a close distance when the talented Florentino Hechter managed to make a qualified save. CyB Ramón Santamarina's players were relieved. When the final whistle sounded ATLAS SALUD FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than CyB Ramón Santamarina.
