An unexpectedly hard shot by Lorenzo Walme in the 6th minute of play forced Academia FC's goalkeeper Marcial Nuno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Academia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Agustin Txeru came free, but Marcial Nuno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Severino Hever charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Severino Hever the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Academia FC booed when Barrio Nuevo fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severino Hever didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amado Donzel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leopoldo Lartaun in the 16th minute of play. Severino Hever kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. A collision led to Barrio Nuevo fc getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Severino Hever hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lorenzo Walme during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Lorenzo Walme kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Agustin Txeru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcial Nuno having to interfere. Benito Loramendi in the 33rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Amado Donzel, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ildefonso Mero blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Amado Donzel having to make a save. Benito Loramendi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Amado Donzel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Barrio Nuevo fc's Lorenzo Walme got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Amado Donzel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leopoldo Lartaun in the 52nd minute of play. Marcial Nuno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lorenzo Walme, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 64th minute, Barrio Nuevo fc's Desiderio Cordeiro seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Desiderio Cordeiro the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Barrio Nuevo fc protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Desiderio Cordeiro had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Barrio Nuevo fc's Amado Donzel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leopoldo Lartaun in the 70th minute of play. When Benito Loramendi came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Academia FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benito Loramendi couldn't finish the play. After 76 played minutes Academia FC got a freekick which was hit by Ildefonso Mero. Lorenzo Walme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lorenzo Walme might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcial Nuno. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lorenzo Walme ran back to his position shaking his head. 88 minutes into the match, Barrio Nuevo fc's goal looked a bit too open when Leopoldo Lartaun came free, but Amado Donzel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Severino Hever took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcial Nuno. Marcial Nuno dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
