CANGREJO FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gustavo Indar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Teodosio Virila made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustavo Indar in the 22nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herminio Garaona in the 23rd minute of play forced CANGREJO FC's goalkeeper Teodosio Virila to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leonardo Castulo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mateo Uzuri having to interfere. Amador Eneko hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. CANGREJO FC's Teo Petri couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 28th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Defensores De Las Sierras. In the 34th match minute, CANGREJO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christian Madeo to maneuver through the defense. 35 minutes into the match, Defensores De Las Sierras's Justino Baldovino broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Guido Guib sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in CANGREJO FC's zone, Gustavo Indar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teodosio Virila came out of the goal and Gustavo Indar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 46 minutes into the match, CANGREJO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Herminio Garaona came free, but Teodosio Virila reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Defensores De Las Sierras were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leonardo Castulo was the one to do the kick off. Defensores De Las Sierras's Mateo Uzuri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guido Guib in the 52nd minute of play. 53 minutes into the match, Leonardo Castulo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mateo Uzuri. Defensores De Las Sierras's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leonardo Castulo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 56th minute Leonardo Castulo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mateo Uzuri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Gustavo Indar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. CANGREJO FC's Teodosio Virila played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herminio Garaona in the 61st minute of play. Gustavo Indar scored 1-2 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Teodosio Virila, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Teodosio Virila took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herminio Garaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A wasted opportunity for Defensores De Las Sierras. The Defensores De Las Sierras supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Defensores De Las Sierras would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
