The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Augusto Eudoxio during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 2 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Catuna! Danilo Hustaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Silvio Theobald kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Urbano Haritzeder recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 19th match minute, Catuna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emilio Cordarrol to maneuver through the defense. In the 21st minute, Catuna's Silvio Theobald seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Silvio Theobald the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Catuna protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Silvio Theobald had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 23rd minute there was a penalty for CA Leones. Urbano Haritzeder stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Felipe Hever. 0-2. After 25 minutes, German Sabin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CA Leones and the Catuna players grew even worse after the yellow card. German Sabin kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Danilo Hustaz charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Danilo Hustaz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Danilo Hustaz hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Felipe Hever showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Louis, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Lucio Egoi made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Danilo Hustaz sent off a good shot on target. Danilo Hustaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Lucio Egoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Danilo Hustaz came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Catuna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Danilo Hustaz couldn't finish the play. Augusto Eudoxio kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. 48 minutes into the match, CA Leones's Urbano Haritzeder broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Constantino Lartaun stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Constantino Lartaun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Francisco Gaizkine had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 62 minutes into the match, Catuna's goal looked a bit too open when Constantino Lartaun came free, but Felipe Hever reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 0-3 became the score in the 64th minute when Constantino Lartaun elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Felipe Hever took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Constantino Lartaun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Felipe Hever showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Constantino Lartaun, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Constantino Lartaun's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Felipe Hever read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. Francisco Gaizkine's late challenge caught a Catuna's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Francisco Gaizkine helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Catuna booed when CA Leones was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Gaizkine didn't get a good kick on the ball. Felipe Hever made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Constantino Lartaun in the 87th minute of play. With an all-out effort, CA Leones's Felipe Hever threw himself towards the right post 88 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Constantino Lartaun, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Constantino Lartaun came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the CA Leones fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Constantino Lartaun couldn't finish the play. German Sabin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felipe Hever having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Catuna's zone, Constantino Lartaun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Felipe Hever came out of the goal and Constantino Lartaun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Constantino Lartaun managed to get in a good position for a shot. CA Leones's supporters rose to their feet, but Constantino Lartaun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Felipe Hever breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Catuna fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. CA Leones were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
