The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With 10 minutes on the clock, Erasmo Mosen commited a dangerous tackle. Solís's Aaron Mon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Solís from getting a goal against them. Esteban Jerold recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Solís booed when Huelén was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fausto Dolfos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcelino Toli was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 34th minute. Huelén's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Manuel Claude had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aaron Mon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcelino Toli in the 46th minute. Manuel Claude received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Aaron Mon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Aaron Mon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelino Toli, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. 52 minutes into the match, Solís's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Claude came free, but Aaron Mon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcelino Toli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aaron Mon having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Manuel Claude in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aaron Mon saved Solís from getting behind. Filiberto Maore hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Manuel Claude sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th minute, Filiberto Maore got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Huelén walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
