After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Alberto Euloxu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Temperley 1982's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Euloxu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roman Gau breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Flavio Astigar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Epifanio Aguirre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Temperley 1982's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of Crucesita booed when Temperley 1982 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafael Quexal didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 38th minute Omar Ieltxu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edelmiro Chale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Crucesita were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After having played for 51 minutes, Flavio Astigar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Temperley 1982's supporters crossed their fingers, but Flavio Astigar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Guido Botello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Edelmiro Chale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elvio Ovando kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Crucesita's Omar Ieltxu got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Crucesita players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
