The supporters of Punua booed when Tigre de Empedrado was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elias Maldonado didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Fabio Silban had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. In the 79th minute, Marcelo Semeno ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Apolo Misael was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. If Marcelo Semeno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabio Silban fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Generoso Abancens having to interfere. When Alonzo Macerio came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Punua fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alonzo Macerio couldn't finish the play. Tigre de Empedrado's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
