Rene Inge recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 29 minutes into the match, Alhuampa's goal looked a bit too open when Ermegildo Llin came free, but Raimundo Florin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ermegildo Llin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rosendo Toro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicanor Jeraldo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 43rd match minute, Buchanan AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicanor Jeraldo to maneuver through the defense. 44 minutes into the game, Melchor Gonzalez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Buchanan AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alhuampa the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 44th minute of the game. One of Buchanan AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Alhuampa:s goal. Sergio Herensuge shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Rene Inge made the kick off in the second half. When Rene Inge came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Alhuampa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rene Inge couldn't finish the play. Ildefonso Gamus struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Ildefonso Gamus really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. Ermegildo Llin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raimundo Florin having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Buchanan AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
