Maguire AFC's Florencio Estefan became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Coro FC's zone, Epifanio Cilio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Federico Feliu came out of the goal and Epifanio Cilio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 14 minutes of play, Maguire AFC's Prudencio Birila made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Federico Feliu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rene Unai was extremely unlucky when he, in the 23rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. If Rene Unai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th match minute, Coro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emilio Fliz to maneuver through the defense. Florencio Estefan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aldo Ibon in the 34th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

In the 52nd minute Rene Unai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florencio Estefan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Umbruso's late challenge caught a Coro FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlos Umbruso helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Coro FC booed when Maguire AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Umbruso didn't get a good kick on the ball. 87 minutes into the game, Cosme Oxel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Maguire AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Coro FC the free kick. In the 87th match minute, Maguire AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cosme Oxel to maneuver through the defense. Coro FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
