One of Byron Bay City:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Navia:s goal. In the 26th minute, Byron Bay City's Honorio Bras dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. 33 minutes into the game, Constantino Miro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Alsan Koehler was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Byron Bay City's Honorio Bras got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With an all-out effort, Byron Bay City's Damian Cheche threw himself towards the right post 43 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Honorio Bras, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Honorio Bras in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Damian Cheche prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Damian Cheche made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Christian Enol sent off a good shot on target. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Albino Burutzagi to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Byron Bay City booed when Navia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeronimo Oriol didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Honorio Bras in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Damian Cheche saved Navia from getting behind. Byron Bay City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Honorio Bras was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 74th match minute, Navia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Constantino Miro to maneuver through the defense. When Christian Enol came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Byron Bay City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christian Enol couldn't finish the play. Byron Bay City's Honorio Bras got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 82 minutes, Aureliano Celino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
