Payogasta AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Blas Lizbeth was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eriberto Galo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Alsan Koehler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Honorio Bras fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Byron Bay City's protests and gave Honorio Bras a yellow card for diving instead. Honorio Bras kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the match, Byron Bay City's goal looked a bit too open when Eriberto Galo came free, but Alsan Koehler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute Honorio Bras shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gervasio Orlondo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Byron Bay City's Rafael Paez managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Godfredo Cerilo in the 25 minute of the game. Honorio Bras fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gervasio Orlondo having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Honorio Bras took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Gervasio Orlondo to make any attempt to save it. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eriberto Galo to make the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Byron Bay City's goal looked a bit too open when Eriberto Galo came free, but Alsan Koehler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Byron Bay City's zone, Eriberto Galo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alsan Koehler came out of the goal and Eriberto Galo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpected shot in the 60th minute by Blas Lizbeth got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Alsan Koehler made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Blas Lizbeth sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Byron Bay City getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Edelmiro Aragones hit a great ball. Eriberto Galos short, quick shot in the 67thth minute got Alsan Koehler to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 69th minute, Rafael Paez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edelmiro Aragones took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gervasio Orlondo. Gervasio Orlondo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. 80 minutes into the match, Byron Bay City's goalkeeper Alsan Koehler had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Blas Lizbeth. Justino Chuse who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 83rdth minute tested the skills of Alsan Koehler when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eriberto Galo in the 91st minute of play forced Byron Bay City's goalkeeper Alsan Koehler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Korkut Öktüre hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Tobias Louis succeeded in the game's 95th minute to get real power on a long shot . Byron Bay City's Alsan Koehler hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 4-1! For all the effort they put into the match, the Payogasta AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Byron Bay City.
