When Saverio Abeijon fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Navia's protests and gave Saverio Abeijon a yellow card for diving instead. In the 16th match minute, Navia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saverio Abeijon to maneuver through the defense. When Cristobal Tavio came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Mojigasta fans jumped to their feet. With a little luck, Navia's Damian Cheche got control of the ball when Celedonio Thomas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Victorio Uzuri's late challenge caught a Navia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Victorio Uzuri helped the player get up and apologised. After 26 played minutes Mojigasta got a freekick which was hit by Victorio Uzuri. Constantino Miro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Norberto Pasqual during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Navia booed when Mojigasta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Norberto Pasqual didn't get a good kick on the ball. Damian Cheche showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cipriano Perrando in the 34th minute of the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 36th minute of the game. One of Navia:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Mojigasta:s goal. In the 38th minute there was a penalty for Mojigasta. Cristobal Tavio stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Damian Cheche. 1-0. Arnaldo Ieltxu hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Damian Cheche made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cipriano Perrando in the 47th minute of play. After 49 minutes Navia's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cristobal Tavio who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Hernan Romero heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cipriano Perrando was the one to do the kick off. After 54 played minutes Mojigasta got a freekick which was hit by Victorio Uzuri. Constantino Miro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Antonio Oxel made a huge save. If Cipriano Perrando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Damian Cheche made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celedonio Thomas in the 67th minute of play. After 67 minutes of play, Mojigasta's Celedonio Thomas made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Damian Cheche was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Mojigasta's zone, Albino Burutzagi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antonio Oxel came out of the goal and Albino Burutzagi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 73 minutes, Cipriano Perrando managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mojigasta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cipriano Perrando was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Celedonio Thomas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damian Cheche having to interfere. In the 80th minute, Cipriano Perrando got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 82 minutes, Celedonio Thomas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mojigasta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celedonio Thomas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cipriano Perrando in the 84th minute of play forced Navia's goalkeeper Damian Cheche to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Antonio Oxel made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Constantino Miro sent off a good shot on target. In the 92nd minute, Celedonio Thomas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mojigasta fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. After having played for 99 minutes, Albino Burutzagi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
