In the 66th minute Cipriano Perrando shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victoriano Aztore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Celedonio Thomas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Victoriano Aztore made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cipriano Perrando in the 85th minute of play forced Atahualpa AFC's goalkeeper Victoriano Aztore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 85 played minutes Atahualpa AFC got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Abechuco. When Cipriano Perrando came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Mojigasta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cipriano Perrando couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Celedonio Thomas got free with Victoriano Aztore in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
