Gualterio Fonda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donato Medero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Diego Artal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gualterio Fonda having to interfere. When Prudencio Louis came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Crucero del Norte fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Prudencio Louis couldn't finish the play. 46 minutes into the match, Crucero del Norte's goal looked a bit too open when Donato Medero came free, but Gualterio Fonda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Donato Medero in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gualterio Fonda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Natalio Astudillo hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Gualterio Fonda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donato Medero in the 56th minute of play. Diego Artal might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gualterio Fonda. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Diego Artal ran back to his position shaking his head. Donato Medero got in the 60th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Gualterio Fonda handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. If Diego Artal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ulises Satordi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Odon in the 64th minute of play. With his leg Gualterio Fonda managed to avoid a goal in the 70thth minute, when Pink Panters's Diego Artal fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 72nd minute Prudencio Louis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulises Satordi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 75th minute, Diego Artal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pink Panters's Oscar Bernad got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 79 minutes into the match, Crucero del Norte's goalkeeper Gualterio Fonda had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Diego Artal. With a little luck, Crucero del Norte's Gualterio Fonda got control of the ball when Diego Artal tried to sneak it across the goal line.
