Los Tilos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonides Duardo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 39th minute, Siro Truylos made a precise shot to the right of Amancio Crispo. Los Tilos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Silvestre Feliz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Tilos's supporters rose to their feet, but Silvestre Feliz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aquiles Fe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
