Spectators: 7248 (Terracing: 5437, Seating: 1667, VIP seats: 144) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Cosme Sotil got the match started through his kick off. In the 2nd minute Leon Gora shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santiago Cristofor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jacinto Marz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cosme Sotil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Zeledon Cebrian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jacinto Marz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edelmiro Berdoi was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 18th minute. PAPA FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Edelmiro Berdoi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 24 minutes into the game, Edelmiro Berdoi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Santiago Cristofor. Edelmiro Berdoi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. After 31 played minutes, PAPA FC's Raimundo Thomas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Santiago Cristofor came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in PAPA FC reached it. Cosme Sotil struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Zeledon Cebrian didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gondra. 34 minutes into the match, Jacinto Marz notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of PAPA FC's Zeledon Cebrian. Zeledon Cebrian was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience was convinced that Jacinto Marz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zeledon Cebrian was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. 40 minutes into the match, Gondra's Jacinto Marz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zeledon Cebrian narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cosme Sotil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 47 minutes into the match, PAPA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jacinto Marz came free, but Zeledon Cebrian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 48th minute Cosme Sotil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeledon Cebrian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edelmiro Berdoi to make the kick off. After 67 played minutes PAPA FC got a freekick which was hit by Luis Romo. Ermegildo Tonete's late challenge caught a Gondra's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ermegildo Tonete helped the player get up and apologised. Ermegildo Tonete kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Gondra's Jorge Maidana couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 76th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for PAPA FC. Zeledon Cebrian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cosme Sotil, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. After some careless play in the Gondra defense, Leon Gora kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Santiago Cristofor. The Gondra fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Santiago Cristofor should have stopped the shot. The PAPA FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
